Our group works on a variety of algae biotechnology research directions including developing wastewater treatment technology and investigating algae as a platform for biofuel production. We are working on integrative approach for the treatment of wastewater and biodiesel production potential. Lab. members are developing and demonstrating the efficacy of algae in carbon sequestration from flue gas of thermal power plant. Additionally, the lab. is focused to develop decentralized technology for the treatment of grey water, sewage water and industrial water.
